Getcha Better Soup

Aunt Annie was a grannywoman, she practiced natural medicine and midwifery from the 1920s until the 1960s delivering over a thousand babies. She often took payment in the form of livestock, summer vegetables, or anything else a family might be able to afford to pay her with. She gathered wild herbs and “weeds” and made poultices from them so stout as to cure the “tizic” and as gentle as to treat a baby’s diaper rash. She knew and understood so much more than her elementary school education would ever indicate on paper, what she lacked in formal public education she more than made up for with her apprenticeship training. This soup recipe is as old as the hills with live in, let us know if you give it a try!
